When someone calls you a BIG LOSER, the normal reaction is to be offended. However, when on Thursday, February 28, 2008, Dr. Ben Conner called me a big loser, I just smiled. In this case, it was actually a compliment because the reason he called me a big loser was because within the last three months, I just lost twenty-five pounds.
It’s always a wonderful feeling to remove excess unwanted pounds. Not only do you feel better, but the many compliments which come your way are very encouraging. In this case, however, what amazes me the most is not the fact that I lost weight; it’s how I did it.
Some time ago, I decided that it’s acceptable to age, but it is not acceptable to lose the quality of life through the aging process. I realized that in order to reach that goal, I must have a healthy body. Without good health, I realized that I would not be able to live a quality life and remain a productive member of society.
I began to examine what I was eating. One by one, I trimmed calories and eliminated foods which were harmful to my body. Despite all my efforts, I was still overweight.
It was then that I attended one of Dr. Conner’s Weight Loss Workshops. For the first time I realized that my fat cells were actually my friends. They were keeping me alive by gobbling up the harmful toxins that I was consuming. I finally understood that without detoxifying my body to remove those poisons, I was fighting a battle which I could never win.
In the Workshop, I learned that we have the same number of fat cells as when we were born. Those fat cells surround poisons to keep the body in a healthy state. If there are many poisons in the system, the fat cells grow in order to do their job. Therefore, there is a definite relationship between a fat body and a toxic body, because I finally understood that the fatter you are, the more poisons there are in your fat cells.
It was as though a light bulb was turned on. With Dr. Conner’s expertise and guidance, I began to cleanse my body from all of the accumulated toxins. One by one, those poisons left my body, and I began to lose weight.
I finally understood that in order to have a healthy body, you must do more than just changing your eating regime. In addition to consuming foods which are beneficial to your body, you must also cleanse your body to rid it of accumulated toxins. Only then, can the organs in your body return to normal in order to keep you in a state of health.
Even though I still have quite a ways to go to lose all the excess weight my body is carrying, I can already see the changes which have occurred since I began to cleanse my body and have regular chiropractic adjustments.
Now, I can finally say that I am on the road to success as a BIG LOSER. I am thankful for what I have learned from Dr. Conner, and look forward to a healthy and productive future.
